Sourdough Bakehouse & Patisserie started as a local bakery in 2024; this bakery has taken that knowledge alongside with our more than 15 years of experience in the bakery industry to create a place where people can enjoy daily baked healthy bread products and shop from local supermarkets. Nothing is more comforting than the smell of fresh bread. The team at Sourdough Bakehouse & Patisserie has been proud to serve the community with its variety of traditional breads, we decided to take that experience and vision to the next level. This led to the creation of Sourdough Bakehouse & Patisserie, a place where our passion for authentic European and Australian flavoured breads was made.

Why Sourdough Starter Breads

Sourdough "starter" is the tangible, active mixture of flour and water that houses and sustains this culture through regular feedings. Think of the culture as the tiny living organisms and the starter as the "home" or living embodiment of that culture, which is used to leaven bread and develop its unique flavor. Sourdough bread acts as a prebiotic, which means that the fiber in the bread helps feed the “good” bacteria in your intestines. These bacteria are important for maintaining a stable, healthy digestive system.
